Review on Future Improvement of Financial Support Policies for the Rural Elderly

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate current status and satisfactions with financial issues, elderly care works, and home welfare services for the rural elderly. In rural areas, the elderly are not well informed of their community welfare service and financial programs such as reverse mortgage and day care service programs. In addition, roughly 80 percent live couple only and half of them take care of their elderly parents. The major directions to improve the financial wellbeing for the aged was as: 1) The government needs to increase financial assistance for existing centers and assist finance for new opening centers. 2)It must make effort to mobilize community resources. The crucial elements of the financial support is to ensure an elderly a basic living condition. As the guarantee of financial resources is an essential element of human existence, a nation should ensure a basic right of being healthy for the people, while the people has a right to be guaranteed humane living. From this view, financial welfare services for the aged serve to keep the aged with health and a fixed living condition. Caring the elderly is viewed within perspectives of social support networks are multidimensional and composed of a variety of components. Finally, we can reflect developed countries¡¯ support systems such as Germany¡¯s housing amendment supports and America¡¯s housing care supports within perspectives of indirect financial assistances.
